Overview of Position:
The Claims Unit Manager position, located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, leads a team of 5-8 adjusters and their respective caseloads to include, but is not limited to, overseeing all aspects of file handling on pending claims for your team, including facts of loss, approving and monitoring reserves, payments and settlement negotiations, coverage analysis, investigation, negligence/compensability/liability determinations and damage assessments as appropriate. The person in this position needs to have excellent communication, time management, organizational and mentoring/training skills.
This role requires flexibility to include traveling overnight to attend conferences, client meetings, and spending time with their team to mentor adjusters. 24/7 accessibility may be required for urgent/emergency situations, i.e., CAT situations.
• A valid driver's license, and insurability under our company policy
• A Florida 520 or 620 Adjuster's License
• 5 Years managing direct report employees, including adjusters
• 10 Years of first party property claims experience
• Proficiency using Xactimate
• Adjusting experience in the state of Florida preferred.
