The Claims Adjuster will play a crucial role in managing and resolving insurance claims efficiently and fairly. This position offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, where you can showcase your expertise in assessing and evaluating claims. Key Responsibilities: * Claims Assessment: Investigate, assess, and evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages. * Documentation: Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of claim files, including reports, photos, and records. * Communication: Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues. * Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with claimants and manage claim payments. * Risk Management: Identify potential fraud and work collaboratively with the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) when necessary. * Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service throughout the claims process. * Compliance: Adhere to all industry regulations and company policies. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. * Previous experience in claims adjusting or a related role. * Strong knowledge of insurance policies and regulations. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions. * Detail-oriented and organized. * Proficient in Xactimate. *Licensed (as required).
